Enrolment: Age ≥17 in the course year, advanced skiing/snowboard ability, book the 5-day Level 1 module for your discipline via Swiss Snowsports course search. Enrolment: Age ≥18, expert technical level, passed Level 1 (or Level 1 Kids), valid Samaritan-style first-aid course, foreign language ≥B1 (or language test during course). Enrolment: Level 2 passed, Law and Obligation (1 day, can be taken after Level 1), IAS First Aid Level 1, ≥40 days Practice 1 teaching, then Level 3 Teaching & Technique (9 days) and Level 3 Assessment (5 days). Backcountry Basic Instructor (6 days) is mandatory before final Level 3 recognition and for the federal professional exam. ISIA Technical Test is separate for ISIA Card seekers.

J+S and other Swiss qualifications toward Swiss Snowsports
Swiss Snowsports publishes recognition tables for Jugend+Sport (J+S) instructor pathways and for Swiss mountain-guide (ASGM) training toward selected Snowsports modules. Applications use MySnowsports and email to education@snowsports.ch with the documents listed on the official page. Specialist race/freestyle strands in the J+S table are reflected in our data as conditions on the Level 2 Instructor cert rather than separate certification IDs.
