Enrolment: CSIA membership in good standing; all programmes register through https://www.snowpro.com/en/programs/search-and-register (fees vary by region/session). Level 1 minimum age 14 on day one per CSIA FAQ. Level 3 Skier Development (3 days), Teacher Development (3 days), then a two-day teaching and skiing exam. Skiing and teaching tracks can be developed independently before full certification.

Where can you teach with CSIA Level 3?
- Required for examiner and trainer roles
Canadian citizens and permanent residents: no restrictions. Foreign nationals require work visa.
- Cantonal work permit required
- CSIA Level 3 (ISIA Stamp) generally accepted — verify with specific employer and canton
EU/EEA nationals: work permit via employer. Non-EU/EEA nationals: quota-based work permit required.
- Must apply for 'carte professionnelle' via the DRJSCS
- EU Directive 2005/36/EC recognition pathway applies
